Overall position description with general areas of responsibility:
team leader has a full understanding of the task at hand and is responsible for delegating the tasks to a qualified individual for the job. This position is responsible for prioritizing, organizing, delegating, assembling, moving, staging and processing materials within the assembly department. In addition, this individual will be responsible for training and reviewing the work of team members to meet the established standards.

Essential Functions of The Job
  • Responsible for organizing and maintaining the job orders and their priority.
  • Determines proper assembly requirements if paperwork is unclear.
  • Prioritizes workload of team members to meet shipping deadlines.
  • Gives clear instruction to others in the assembly area.
  • Maintains inventory levels of all items required for assembly.
  • Completes tasks designated by production coordinator to meet production deadlines.
  • ttends bi-weekly production meetings and interacts with other departments as needed to achieve proper scheduling.
  • Checks for accuracy throughout the assembly process, including size, color, quantities and quality.
  • ssures the work area and aisles around them are kept clean and free of debris.
  • Keeps WIP (work in process) materials organized and in designated areas.
  • Responsible for maintenance of tools.
  • Manages multiple projects at the same time and stays focused and on task.
  • Other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisor.
