Job Description:

The Tactical Networks Group specializes in advanced network and communications systems development, with a focus on tactical mobile, military airborne networks of the future. The Tactical Networks Group uses a combination of technical analysis, modeling, simulation, emulation, prototype development, and light evaluation to develop new communication systems and evaluate and predict their performance under expected conditions.


**Must be able to obtain an interim clearance**

Required Skills:

Minimum 5 years' experience in Software Development
Proficient in Java and Python programming languages, however looking for someone to be strong in one and knowledgeable in the other.
Experience with modern software engineering tools, including Java dev environments (IntelliJ, Eclipse etc.), debuggers, code repositories, version control (git) and issue tracking (jira)
Proficient using Linux OS
Proficient in using and developing Containers and Container Networking - Podman, Podman-Compose etc.
Basic Networking experience required. Understands OSI model, routing protocols, TCP/IP stack, etc.

Plus:

Experience with C/C++ and other scripting languages (perl, awk etc.) a plus.

Preferred Education:

Master of Science in Computer Engineering or Computer Science
Background in Software Defined Networking a plus.

Work Location:

Hybrid - 3 days a week onsite

Must be able to work on our W2, no exceptions.
