Pharmacy Manager role at Price Chopper Supermarkets-Market 32 Salary: $52.00- $74.00 Summary The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for overseeing pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company regulations, and managing financial and personnel functions to maintain optimal performance. They also provide patient care services, including counseling and training pharmacy associates, while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and legal compliance. Responsibilities Register with the state board of pharmacy as supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge. Maintain the pharmacy in good standing with all federal, state, board of pharmacy regulations, and company policies. Oversee the entire operation of the pharmacy department to achieve expected pharmacy service levels and financial goals, including budget, payroll, third‑party administration, scheduling, and inventory management. Manage pharmacy support personnel functions, including job performance review. Guide and train pharmacy associates, holding them accountable for compliance with regulatory and company policies. Ensure completion of company‑required training by all pharmacy associates. Participate in patient‑centered services such as immunization, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness programs. Counsel patients and medical providers regarding drug use, dosage, interactions, and side effects. Maintain and participate in continuous quality improvement programs to ensure patient safety. Maintain department facilities consistent with legal and company standards. Qualifications Licensed and registered Pharmacist in good standing within the state of practice. Immunization Certification. Valid Driver’s License. 21 years of age or older. Must submit to drug‑testing monitoring. Education & Experience 5‑year Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy. Proficiency with pharmacy computer systems and automated dispensing systems. Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, electronic). Strong leadership skills and ability to manage others. Ability to assign, prioritize, and evaluate the work of others. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
