Join to apply for the Manager, Fundraising role at YoungArts General Summary Of Duties The Manager, Fundraising reports to the Senior Director, Integrated Advancement and works closely with the rest of the Advancement team to manage YoungArts’ institutional (foundation and government) fundraising efforts (30%), provide proposal‑writing support for frontline fundraisers (30%), maintain a portfolio of individual donors under $10K (30%), and lead strategy and execution of annual appeals (10%). This person will play an active role in achieving the team’s annual fundraising goal and will provide team‑wide writing support. The ideal candidate is an excellent writer, is detail‑oriented and has the ability to proactively and efficiently manage a variety of concurrent projects and meet deadlines. They should also excel at relationship building and working directly with donors and prospects. This candidate should have a positive attitude and be a self‑starter who is excited to bring their existing relationships to YoungArts. Direct Reporting This role directly reports to the Senior Director, Integrated Advancement. Essential And Other Responsibilities (perform Other Duties As Assigned) Manage the team’s grants calendar, including proposal writing, reporting and administrative support (contracting, budgeting, etc.) for foundation and government grants, collaborating with Senior Director and VP of Advancement where needed (30%). In collaboration with Senior Director, provide proposal‑writing support for frontline fundraisers (30%). Proactively manage, maintain and grow a portfolio of individual donors under $10K (30%) through the identification, cultivation and solicitation of renewing and prospective donors. Lead strategy and execution of print and email fundraising appeals with the goal of growing the annual giving program as a reliable source of revenue for the organization (10%). Maintain consistent communication with Senior Director, Integrated Advancement on upcoming deadlines, review and approval of materials, etc. to ensure streamlined workflow. Work cross‑departmentally to gather information (past and upcoming) for fundraising needs and coordinate reviews and approvals of materials with relevant staff. Proactively identify and research short and long‑term prospective funders, building a pipeline of future support. Monitor annual giving trends on local, state and national levels. Produce progress reports for leadership and board review. Document and track all fundraising activities on the internal server/file sharing system and in the organization’s CRM. Safety Responsibilities Adhere to all safety and security policies of the organization including those pertaining to physical safety and practices. Report any potential or actual violations to security and HR as appropriate. Compensation and benefits Commensurate with experience, $70,000–$76,000. Qualifications And Experience Requirements Commitment to YoungArts’ values of excellence, collaboration, community, experimentation, respect, and integrity as key strategies toward creating and supporting empathy, a sense of belonging, and humanity to foster the greatest potential for innovation, creativity, and collaboration. 3+ years of professional experience, with proven success in accomplishing professional goals Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills Grant writing and management experience, preferably in the arts Excellent organizational, time management and project management skills, including setting, communicating, and achieving deadlines Strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, reasoning abilities, and judgment Superior attention to detail Ability to manage various priorities and adjust as details shift Experience in budget compilation and financial reporting Discretion and the ability to handle confidential information with great sensitivity, ensuring the privacy and security of such information across teams and stakeholders Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite and fundraising databases, such as Raiser’s Edge or Salesforce Verbal and presentation proficiency Flexibility to work after regular office hours for programs and events Contributes to a positive team dynamic and a participatory workstyle Education And/or Credentialing Requirements Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in education and experience Experience beyond requirement will be considered in lieu of education requirement Working Conditions, Typical Physical/mental Demands YoungArts physical campus and headquarters are in Miami, FL and New York, NY. Work is performed in a hybrid (virtual and in‑office) setting, and/or in an event/venue setting. General working hours are 9:00 am–5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. The nature of our work will sometimes require an adjustment to this schedule, including evenings and weekends. You will normally be advised in advance should your work schedule be adjusted.
