Job Title: Mechanical Engineer II
Location: Soutfield, MI
Pay Range: $ 43-48/hr
What’s the Job?
- Contribute to the planning and execution of assigned tasks in a timely and proficient manner.
- Develop and sustain new processes associated with polymer additive manufacturing and printed electronics.
- Support the engineering team in producing additively manufactured (AM) parts for projects.
- Construct and test prototypes and designs, presenting data efficiently and accurately to the engineering team.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, machines, and material inventories needed for experimental work.
What’s Needed?
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field with some manufacturing/production experience.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of experience in polymer additive manufacturing, such as FDM (FFF and FGF) and SLA processes or printed electronics.
- Basic understanding of computer systems and networks, data analysis, and Microsoft Office skills.
- Demonstrates effective communication with peers and management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with materials testing and test equipment such as tensile load frame, fatigue, rheology, TGA, DSC, DMA.
- Knowledge and familiarity with a range of polymers and polymer processing technology.
- Understanding of 3D printing and screen printing of electronics.
