Our environmental technologies deal with procedures to improve energy efficiency and the exhaust air purification.We are a growing organization, and we are seeking a Design Engineer to join our team. Together, with the momentum of our business vision, we can achieve international success and added innovation in all the themes which Dürr influences at a global level.Position Summary: The Design Engineer is responsible for generating and managing concepts, mechanical sketches, and drawings required to effectively fabricate, install and/or commission various types of paint finishing equipment.Essential Functions and Responsibilities Utilize a computer aided design (CAD) system to create drawings - 2D, 3DInterpret schematics to develop complete system designsTravel to local customer sites and participate in field measurementsMaintain project schedulesEffectively communicate and interact with engineering and estimating departments, contractors, suppliers and customersControl and document the distribution and archiving of drawings and documentsUnderstand, diagnose, and solve real or potential design problemsAttend and contribute to design review meetingsInterpret mechanical drawingsTravel approximately 25%Nonessential FunctionsPerform other duties as assignedQualifications Associate Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Design, or related field preferred5 or more years of experienceFamiliar with mechanical layout, detail drawings, and basic piping preferredAbility to read and interpret engineering drawingsAbility to perform basic engineering calculationsStrong skills in math and geometryProficient in the use of AutoCAD 2D, 3D, ReCap, Revit, Navisworks, Micostation a plusProficient with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and OutlookAbility to understand and maintain project schedulesGood time management skillsGood organizational skillsGood verbal communication skillsGood technical writing skillsGood communication skills with co-workers, suppliers, and customersAble to work well independently and in a team environmentAbility to technically define problems and propose solutionsAdaptable to change in a learning environmentSelf-starter capable of executing assigned tasks and solving problems in a diplomatic and professional mannerWilling and able to work overtime, weekends and holidays when necessaryPhysical Demands: While performing duties of job, incumbent is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; and use hands and arms. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision and distance vision.
