Under the direction of the Director Cancer Services, manage and coordinate the day-to-day clinical operations of at least two outpatient oncology clinics. Manager will assist the Director of Cancer Services with operational and capital budgets, ensuring all registration, billing, and clinical procedures comply with regulatory, accreditation and licensing requirements. Assist with clinical validation of authorizations prior to patient treatment and supervision of the patient assistance program (PAP) application process. Oversee the implementation of UF Health Policies and Procedures. Provide supervision for departmental personnel including training, recruitment, retention and termination. Represent Cancer Services at meetings and on committees as requested.
Required Education/Certifications: BSN, BLS, and ACLS. Licensed to practice nursing in the state of Florida -Oncology Nursing Society/Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation Chemotherapy Biotherapy certification required within eighteen (18) months of hire or transfer into the position -All new hires or transfers must have an Oncology Nursing Certification within three years of hire or transfer.
Required Experience: Five+ years supervising or managing health care services. Working knowledge of clinical/hospital operations, management of clinical and non-clinical staff and working with physicians, managers, and leaders.
