Job Summary The Outcomes Analyst supports the Office of the College Outcomes Assessment in coordinating assessment activities for academic and co-curricular programs and facilitating the development and maintenance of the course and program student learning outcomes. As the assistant of the Director of Outcomes Assessment, the Outcomes Analyst uses available information technology resources to gather, organize, and store appropriate data, performs statistical analysis of outcomes data, generates reports and helps disseminate the findings to appropriate stakeholders to meet the needs of the College of Veterinary Medicine, the university, other programs, and constituents. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Excellent analytical, verbal, and written English communication and presentation skills. Must be able to interact effectively with administration, faculty, staff, students and other external contacts. Ability to collect, organize, and manage large amounts of data in different formats. Excellent data visualization skills, including the ability to interpret data and to create impactful reports and dashboards. Ability to perform basic quantitative and qualitative statistical analyses. Ability to manage sensitive records in an atmosphere of procedure and security. Good interpersonal communication and the ability to work well in a group. Self-motivated, and self-directed learner with the skills to facilitate, organize, prioritize and manage projects. Excellent problem-solving and logic skills, with high attention to detail. Required Qualifications Education : Any combination, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform this job satisfactorily. Bachelor’s degree required. Coursework in research methods, survey design, programming language and statistics are preferred. Experience A minimum of two years of experience in data management and analysis, or equivalent; or a combination of academic and work experience. Typical working hours Monday – Friday 8 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm. Some evening and weekend hours may be required. Posting Date 05 / 24 / 2024 Close Date Open Until Filled Special Instructions to Applicants Essential Job Duties: Assists in designing and administering of surveys, collecting and maintaining data, and ensuring quality and accuracy of data. Applies appropriate statistical analysis to qualitative and quantitative outcomes data and generates impactful graphics as needed. Creates internal reports for the college relating to student, faculty, alumni and curricular outcomes. Edits and formats internal and external college program review and accreditation documents; assists in the gathering of appropriate data for these documents as needed. Performs the gathering of outcomes assessment data from online databases and maintains a data file repository of all data and documentation, to facilitate longitudinal analyses. Assist in the implementation of technology innovations related to outcomes assessment. Assists faculty and staff with data entry and extraction from assessment platforms. Coordinates survey and report distribution, content, and production in conjunction with the Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness. If requested, may provide technical and analytical support to faculty, administration, staff, and / or students. May also assist with coordination of special projects, training, assessment, committee duties, and additional efforts to improve teaching and learning on campus.
