Scope:

Nuclear Medicine Technologist responsibilities:

Perform a variety of Nuclear Medicine procedures utilizing multiple types of gamma cameras, utilizing proper injection techniques while injecting radioisotopes.
Perform IV puncture and administer radiopharmaceuticals via IV when indicated.
Prepare exam room, communicate with the patient, obtain informed consent when necessary, and request an accurate clinical history as necessary for the exam.
Receive patients, explain method of examination, and position patient.
Select appropriate imaging techniques and protocols to complete the exam.
Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals and other medications in accordance with state and federal regulations.

Requirements:

Associate Degree or equivalent from two-year College or Technical School; or a minimum of one (1) year minimum related experience and/or training, required.
Current ARRT (R) (NM) or NMTCB as CNMT registry, required.
Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association, required.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
