Operations Research Systems Analyst

OverviewJANUS Research Group is currently seeking an Operations Research Systems Analyst for a contract to support the Deputy Chief of Staff (DCS, G8). The DCS G-8 is the principal military advisor to the Chief of Staff, Army (CSA) and the Assistant Secretary of the Army, Financial Management and Comptroller (ASA(FMC)) for the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process. The DCS, G-8 coordinates with the Assistant Secretary of the Army, Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology (ASA(ALT)) on all proposed programming and process recommendations related to ongoing and future acquisition programs and science and technology initiatives. The DCS, G-8 coordinates with Army Futures Command (AFC) for program funding for all elements of the future force materiel modernization enterprise.This Position is Subject to Contract AwardResponsibilitiesResponsibilities encompass operational research for FD, modern programming languages and other open-source languages for data analysis, collaborating with cross-functional teams for actionable insights, developing advanced statistical models, and creating effective data visualizations.Apply analytic techniques such as statistical analysis, forecasting and measurement to effect analyses (e.g., ANOVA, Multiple Regression), cost analysis, flow modeling, forecast modeling, linear programming, simulations and queuing theory, and business reengineering/IDEF modeling.QualificationsPossess a bachelor's degree(s) in one or more of the following disciplines: operations research, applied mathematics, statistics, engineering (Systems or Industrial), or computer science3 years ORSA experienceDemonstrated experience in conducting analytical studies using a variety of mathematical, statistical, and other operations research techniques to identify and define problems, develop, and investigate alternative courses of action, and present findings and optionsPossess a strong background in data science, business analysis, or operational researchAbility to apply modern programming languages to accomplish mission tasksPossess strong communication skills, experience in developing reports and dashboards, effective collaboration in cross-functional teams, and the ability to work independently on projects within established timelinesActive Secret security clearanceDesired QualificationsHow the Army Runs (HTAR) CourseRQM 1010 / CLR 101: Introduction to JCIDS CourseRQM 1100 series / RQM 110: Core Concepts for Requirements Management Course/Capabilities Development Course (CDC)RQM 3100 / 310: Advanced Concepts and Skills CourseCLR 151: Analysis of AlternativesRQM 2500 / CLR 250: Capabilities Based AssessmentsRQM 2520 / CLR 252: Developing Performance AttributesSalarySalary: $120,000 - $140,000Benefits401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO), Paid Holidays, Medical and Dental Plans, Life and Disability insurance, Education Assistance (and more).JANUS strives to provide opportunities for career growth through training and development.
