we are looking for a Lead Medicaid Consultant to join IPS. Our technology solutions, combined with proven best practices and execution excellence, enable our clients to renew themselves and build new capabilities to improve mission outcomes.We are pushing the limit of what is currently possible – towards completely new areas. We seek a Lead Medicaid Consultant to join IPS and become a pivotal member in analyzing federal-state Medicaid regulations and supporting and maintaining an integrated eligibility system. You will perform functional analysis, validate system changes via test and review processes, ensure no adverse effects, and evaluate the changes to determine whether they meet requirements and function as designed.
- Position Description (scope of work or brief narrative):Be a subject matter expert of federal and state Medicaid programs and have functional knowledge of the Health and Human Services (HHS) rules, procedures, policies, and legislation's from regulatory bodies such as the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
- Perform business analysis activities not limited to functional analysis, fit-gap validation, system analysis, OOTB custom product design, requirements gathering, application testing, and operations to support and maintain an integrated eligibility system (IES).
- Utilize knowledge of Medicaid eligibility rules to perform maintenance and production support of a system by triaging production incidents, executing maintenance requests, running data corrections, testing applications end-to-end under functional and systems integration testing, and assisting in production validation post-deployment, analyze defects, detect system design changes and propose change suggestions/change requests, perform root cause analysis, suggest solutions, provide temporary/intermediate workarounds, and verify defect fixes.
- Review assigned client deliverables for accuracy and quality, be responsible for change request documentation, and perform impact analysis.
- Convert policy requirements into system requirements and functional design.
- Participate in reviews and walk throughs of deliverables with the client and develop strong client relationships by communicating solution plans clearly.
- Review test cases, scenarios, and conditions, and support users in user acceptance testing.
- Seven or more years of experience with State Medicaid eligibility systems operations and implementation as a functional consultant or equivalent positions like Business Analyst, Process Analyst, etc.
- Experience translating federal and state policy requirements into functional requirements and functional designs OR experience in reviewing applicable conditions and functional designs of state eligibility systems for Medicaid programs.
- Ability to work under stress and deliver time-critical work products with the best quality.
- Perform business consulting activities not limited to client management, mentoring, and training the team in functional and consulting knowledge.
- Perform project and team management tasks and take ownership by volunteering to lead IPS initiatives.
- Lead and participate actively in different phases of an engagement, including client identification, launch, delivery, and closure; help establish client relationships; lead and contribute to conceptualizing innovative solutions based on anticipated needs of the industry; participate in and contribute to various team-level, practice-level and organizational-level initiatives; contribute at times lead and act as SMEs in pursuits to ensure the highest levels of engagement management within the guidelines, policies, and norms of Infosys Consulting.
- Required Skills:7+ years of experience in Medicaid eligibility systems.
- Excellent verbal and written skills.
- Proven ability to engage with clients on day-to-day work without supervision.
- Nice To Have:Along with experience in Medicaid eligibility rules, basic knowledge of Food and Cash programs like SNAP and TANF is a plus.
- Educational Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or foreign equivalent, required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive, relevant work experience instead of every year of education. Candidates that have completed a Master's degree program are strongly preferred.
