Description

+ Analyze electrical circuits and identify substitutes for obsolete components

+ Design electrical circuits and modify layouts of printed circuit boards

+ Lead Engineering Change Orders for electronic design changes while working with cross-functional teams

+ Conduct product development activities such as prototyping/testing and support pilot builds, verification & validation activities, and risk assessment

+ Interface with internal and external suppliers, manufacturers, support the design and qualification of test and fabrication fixtures

+ Create clear product requirements to translate into designs

+ Identify and mitigate design and product risks

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering or related

+ 6 years of electrical engineering experience (3 years in medical device)

+ Ability to investigate and figure out what is wrong at both PCB and system-level.

+ Experience in analog circuit design involving ADC, DAC, op-amps, solenoids, motor drivers and switching regulators

+ Proficiency in Altium Designer or similar CAD software for electrical circuits design

+ Experience with sustaining change management

+ Experience designing medical products for compliance to Safety, EMC and wireless specifications

+ Ability to troubleshoot complex PCBs

+ Understanding of design controls and change management

+ Knowledge of ISO, regulatory and legislative standards applicable to the development of medical devices

+ Ability to identify the root cause of issues affecting a design using different methodologies and documenting the findings.

+ Ability to identify potential issues, assess their impact, and develop and implement mitigation and resolution plans and activities

+ Understanding of ventilators is nice to have

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00
