This role leads the development and execution of sourcing strategies that optimize cost, quality, supply continuity, and supplier performance across the enterprise. Acting as a strategic business partner, the director ensures alignment between procurement initiatives and organizational objectives by collaborating cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external suppliers. (Y/N): YesSupervisory Responsibility: Yes, manages the following positions: Purchasing Superisor, Materical Project Manager,Strategic LeadershipDevelop and execute category strategies that align with corporate objectives and growth plansPartner with executive stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into procurement strategiesDrive enterprise-wide sourcing initiatives, supplier rationalization, and cost reduction programsCross-Functional CollaborationServe as a key liaison between procurement and internal functions (e.g., Engineering, Finance, Legal, Manufacturing)Ensure procurement actively supports product development, operational efficiency, and market responsivenessSupplier Relationship & Risk ManagementLead negotiations with key suppliers to secure optimal terms and value-added servicesEstablish robust supplier performance metrics and risk mitigation strategiesFoster supplier innovation and sustainability alignmentGovernance, Compliance & Process ImprovementEnsure compliance with corporate policies, regulations, and ethical sourcing practicesDrive continuous improvement in sourcing processes, data governance, and procurement systemsChampion the use of spend analytics and digital procurement tools (e.g., SAP, Ariba, Coupa, LeanDNA)Team LeadershipLead, coach, and develop a high-performing procurement teamPromote a culture of accountability, transparency, and stakeholder serviceQualificationsEducation and/or Experience requirementsBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred)10+ years of progressive procurement experience, including global sourcing and strategic category management5+ years in a leadership or centralized procurement role, preferably in a complex or multi-site organizationDeep understanding of strategic sourcing, supplier management, and total cost of ownershipStrong analytical and financial acumen, with experience using spend analytics to drive decisionsExcellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skillsProven track record of leading transformation and cross-functional initiativesExpertise with procurement technologies and ERP systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, Ariba, LeanDNA, Coupa)At Bruker, base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $155,000 and $261,000 provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.The base salary for the role will depend on a several job-related factors, including, but not limited to education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge and travel requirements for this position.
