Job Description Visa Direct team is looking for an individual with a technical bent of mind and interest in product ownership to help us continue to grow and launch new features and services. The Technical Product Manager is a hands‑on role which includes the following responsibilities: Collaborate with business sponsors and product managers to define product strategy and roadmap. Translate high‑level business needs into detailed, actionable requirements for engineering teams. Drive brainstorming and solutioning workshops involving product teams, developers, architects, and SMEs. Serve as the product subject matter expert (SME), providing clarity and guidance during development cycles. Identify and resolve bottlenecks, manage escalations, anticipate challenges, and balance business goals with technical constraints to maximize value. Partner with customers and external stakeholders on co‑creation initiatives and drive product adoption. Champion innovation by exploring emerging technologies and implementing impactful improvements within the product portfolio. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or at least 6 years with an advanced degree (e.g., Master’s, MBA). Preferred Qualifications: Over 5 years of proven experience in the Payments or FinTech sector. Background as an Architect or Developer with a strong track record in building products using Java technologies, APIs (SOAP & REST), and Web & Mobile development. Familiarity with global payment standards such as SWIFT, ISO 20022 (MX), MT, SEPA, Fedwire, CHAPS, UPI, and similar protocols. Hands‑on experience with cross‑border payment solutions is a significant plus. Demonstrated expertise in creating product roadmaps, writing user stories, grooming backlogs, and managing priorities in dynamic, fast‑paced environments. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple, competing priorities. Strong technical acumen coupled with a genuine passion for product ownership. Is proactive and operates with a sense of urgency and 'can do' attitude. Additional Information Visa is an EEO Employer.
