PSU educates over 27,000 students and offers programs for Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degrees. PSU’s College of Education (COE) seeks a faculty member to support equity-driven research, teaching, and practice, especially in special education. The Assistant Professor of Practice will prepare special education students to implement anti‑racist and anti‑oppressive practices that drive social change for equity and inclusion. Responsibilities Serve as the BACB Program Coordinator for our fully online Applied Behavior Analysis/Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) program Teach online courses in the ABA Program and other related courses Conduct review of each student’s coursework to submit an attestation to the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) Serve as Cohort Leader for our BCBA program Participate fully as a collaborative teacher and leader in the department, college, and university Minimum Qualifications Master’s Degree in Special Education or related field Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA or BCBA‑D) Successful completion of a criminal background check Preferred Qualifications Knowledge and/or experience teaching online Knowledge of the updated BABC requirements for BCBA certification Key Cultural Competencies Create an environment that acknowledges, encourages, and celebrates differences Function and communicate effectively and respectfully within the context of varying beliefs, behaviors, orientations, identities, and cultural backgrounds Seek opportunities to gain experience working and collaborating in diverse, multicultural, and inclusive settings with a willingness to change for continual improvement Adhere to all of PSU’s policies, including the policies on Prohibited Discrimination & Harassment and the Professional Standards of Conduct Environmental Stewardship Contribute to a culture of environmental stewardship, practice resource conservation, and actively work toward achieving long‑term sustainability goals. Compensation and Benefits The starting annual salary for this position is $74,016, negotiable above this rate based on experience, budget, and approval from HR. PSU offers a comprehensive benefits package including 95% premium‑paid healthcare, a generous retirement and vacation package, and reduced tuition rates for employees, spouses, and dependents at any Oregon Public University.
