We rely on and trust our Medical Records - Health Information Specialist (QMA or LPN) to responsible for maintaining the medical records according to established standards and policy as well as with state and federal regulations.

Full time - 40 hours per week

Must have weekend availability and will be on the on call rotation

Responsibilities:

Maintain all medical records in designated area in accordance with established policies and procedures
Prepare admission packets and establish medical files
Maintains open charts by filing all clinical documentation daily as it is received
Monitor and audit records for completeness and accuracy at assigned intervals
Process, transfer and discharge records and maintain appropriate records on discharged residents including preparation of bereavement file, if applicable
Prepare reports as directed and inform center or agency leadership of any deficiencies in documentation

Qualifications:

Must be licensed as a QMA or LPN
Knowledge of medical terminology
At least one year previous clerical experience, preferably in a medical setting
Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance
