Description

FPC Utility Worker Job Description:

A utility worker is a professional in ground maintenance who is responsible for cleaning and performing basic maintenance on buildings and other company properties. The ideal candidate will have experience working with hand and power tools, cleaning tools and substances as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Clean shop, bathrooms, and office areas
  • Trash pickup at Landfill, Transfer station or shop
  • Landscaping duties to include but not limited to mowing, weed eating, and cleaning up debris
  • Wash equipment as needed
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Decision-making skills
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • The ability to operate hand tools and landscaping equipment
  • Ability to work extended hours as needed
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods or standing, walking, climbing, bending, lifting, pushing and pulling
  • Able to work long periods including evenings and weekends as required
  • Must be able to lift 25-100 lbs. frequently
  • Hand/eye coordination for used of tools and other equipment
  • Constant exposure to unusual elements such as hot/cold temperatures, dirt, dust, and loud noises.
