As Team Lead – Generative AI Engineering, you’ll guide a multidisciplinary team of engineers and researchers in developing transformative generative AI solutions that power real impact. You’ll set the vision for how we apply LLMs, diffusion models, and related technologies across our data and product ecosystem. From piloting new architectures to overseeing production-grade deployments, you’ll balance technical depth with team leadership and strategic alignment - making sure every model we ship brings us closer to our mission: using data for good. What You’ll Be Doing Guide a team of generative AI engineers across project lifecycles - providing technical oversight, coaching, and support for professional growth. Translate high-level business goals into a clear roadmap for generative AI initiatives - aligning with Patrianna’s data strategy, ethical AI principles, and platform vision. Design and oversee the implementation of scalable, secure, and performant LLM-based systems, including model lifecycle management and integration with enterprise platforms. Stay ahead of the curve on emerging models, architectures (e.g., RAG, agents), and tooling - and bring those innovations into production. Work closely with Data, Engineering, Product, and Governance teams to align AI solutions with real-world use cases and technical feasibility. Ensure your team champions model transparency, fairness, and compliance - and actively contributes to the evolution of our AI governance standards. What You’ll Bring Required Skills 6+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, with at least 2 years in a team leadership role. Expertise in building and deploying generative models (LLMs, diffusion models, etc.) using frameworks like Hugging Face, PyTorch, or TensorFlow. Deep familiarity with Google Cloud Platform, particularly Vertex AI and associated tooling. Strong understanding of MLOps best practices, API development, and productionizing ML solutions. Experience with prompt engineering, fine-tuning models, and implementing retrieval-augmented generation (RAG). Proven ability to lead and inspire technical teams while collaborating across functions. Nice-to-Have Skills Experience setting AI strategy within a fast-paced or data-driven organization. Track record of building responsible AI systems that meet enterprise data governance standards.
