We are seeking an experienced payroll professional to join our growing organization. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for the day to day administration of payroll processing. The right candidate must have experience with payroll processing, Time & Attendance system, Payroll Tax adjustments, and Payroll Reporting.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage the timely and accurate multi-state, bi-weekly payroll process for employees.
• Review System input of all employee payroll related changes, including the timekeeping system.
• Research and correct issues found during processing.
• Process all forms and terminations, as defined by check in hand state compliance
• Responsible for ensuring payroll processing is compliant with all payroll regulatory changes
• Work closely with HR to resolve employee related pay issues.
• Provide support to business partners and employees regarding all payroll related inquiries
• Review and Validate data flow reporting for accuracy from HR system into payroll system
• Pre-edit payroll preview reports to validate proper taxation of pre-tax benefit calculations
• Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate final reports for approval
• Ensure employees are properly paid and taxed correctly
• Generate weekly payroll reports from payroll system into Excel
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience of payroll processing required.
• Working knowledge of a Payroll Time & Attendance system.
• Experience reviewing & processing payroll tax information required.
• Candidate must have strong analytical and payroll reporting
• Candidate must be proficient in all Microsoft office applications, have strong organization and attention to detail skills and good problem solving ability.
• Candidate must be able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
