Computational Biologist, Genomics

W2 Contract

Location: Redwood City, CA - Onsite Role

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Explore and integrate multi-omic datasets that include DNA mutation, gene expression, and copy-number.
  • Explore and analyze single-cell genomics data.
  • Aid in the interpretation of the data, particularly generating hypotheses.
  • Assist experimental design to ensure the representativity of the data generated.
  • Contribute to the development of analysis pipelines and computational tools.
  • Work closely with scientists, contract research organizations, and other collaborators to answer key questions related to our research.
  • Communicate the results of your work to internal and external stakeholders.


Requirements and Qualifications:

  • M.S. in bioinformatics, genomics, or a similar field.
  • Familiarity with differential gene expression analysis and somatic DNA mutation calling.
  • Proficient with R or Python.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • 3+ years of experience focusing on analyzing NGS data is highly desired.
