TAG professionals specialize in financial and accounting buy-side and sell-side due diligence, capital markets and accounting advisory, global transaction analytics, environmental, technical & sustainability (ETS) advisory, and other related M&A services for private equity, hedge funds, sovereign wealth, family office, and corporate clients worldwide. A&M’s TAG team has opportunities in New York, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Dallas, Houston, Miami, Nashville, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. We are seeking a Director to bring energy, passion, and expertise to help clients get the answers they need to close deals.

We provide private equity and corporate clients buy-side and sell-side financial accounting due diligence. TAG professionals assess a target’s quality of earnings, analyze cash flows, review working capital, identify key business drivers, review forecasts, and conduct discussions with management and advisors. How You Will ContributeAs a Director, you will work with a motivated team on a variety of projects across industries including manufacturing, distribution, consumer, retail, restaurants, business and industrial services, healthcare, software & technology, energy, and financial services. You will provide clients with an integrated due diligence approach that goes beyond traditional quality of earnings analyses and focuses on key value drivers for sponsors and lenders.

Our approach combines deep operational, functional, and industry expertise with high-quality financial accounting and tax services to drive value throughout the investment lifecycle. ResponsibilitiesCounsel and mentor Associates, Senior Associates and Managers. Effectively lead the team in conversations with clients and lenders. Manage and prioritize team responsibilities and proactively consult with Managing Directors and senior team members.

Oversee all aspects of deals with limited guidance from Managing Directors. Manage multiple chargeable and non-chargeable projects of varying size and complexity. Identify potential transaction risks and implement strategies to address risks. Generate a full due diligence report.

Lead the Quality of Earnings, P&L and Working Capital analyses. Communicate regularly with clients regarding engagement matters (e.g., billing, status updates, scope of procedures, scope changes, request lists). Effectively manage day-to-day client interaction and relationships and emphasize A&M capabilities. Develop and propose creative solutions to engagement and transaction risks and resolve issues effectively.

Help engagement executives maximize client value (e.g., monitor engagement leverage, staff efficiency, and T&Es billed). Proactively recruit, train, and develop TAG staff at all levels. Engage in training initiatives, including developing and teaching courses as appropriate. Display a core understanding of TAG services (FDD/ODD) and cross-sell TAG and other A&M services where opportunities arise.

Abide by risk management guidelines and engagement review memo procedures. Gather conflict check information and coordinate with Managing Directors on engagement codes and requirements. Assist Managing Directors and Senior Directors in sales and business development efforts. Contribute to sales pursuits by generating new client business or expanding existing client engagement.

Appropriately manage engagement risk and client or engagement issues. The base salary is $200,000 annually, dependent on variables including education, experience, skills, and geography.
