Med/Surg RN Job Details Location: Saint Charles, Missouri 63301 Healthcare Setting: Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) Unit Position Type: Travel Nursing Assignment Start Date: ASAP Contract Length: 13 weeks Hours: 36 hours per week Shift: 12-hour day shifts (3 shifts per week) Estimated Weekly Salary: $1990-$2130 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri or compact state Minimum 2 years of recent bedside clinical experience as a Med/Surg RN BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required ICU experience and skills suitable for LTACH (Long-Term Acute Care Hospital) setting Previous experience in Select Specialty, acute care, or similar healthcare environment preferred Med/Surg RN Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission Develop and implement individualized care plans with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic health record Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and discharge planning for optimal outcomes Communicate patient status changes promptly to the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and continuity of care Supervise and guide Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and new staff Promote patient and staff safety by following hospital policies and best practices Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed after orientation Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education to maintain clinical excellence Ready to take the next step in your nursing career?
