**PRIMARY FUNCTION**

Responsible for storage and handling of product for both customer owned goods and new product for customers. This position supports business distribution which includes delivery personnel and vehicles in the handling of furniture assets that are deployed to and from the facility.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

+ Supervise and assist unload/load trucks and trailers and sort received products

+ Supervise and assist in pulling orders for customer projects; stage and prep office furniture for install crews.

+ Unpack, assemble and move a variety of office furniture according to customer expectations.

+ Consistently moves furniture in the safest manner to ensure no damage occurs to the product, person, or building.

+ Ensure the warehouse is neat, clean and free of safety hazards.

+ Ensure all products brought into the warehouse are received into the system and stored accurately.

+ Responsible for service and warranty. Processes including assessment of repair and parts. needed. Documentation of labor for reimbursement.

+ Prepare and maintain reports as needed, including cycle counts, damages, warehouse audits

+ Responsible for safety requirements for the warehouse.

+ Utilizes proper equipment to load and unload trucks in a safe and efficient manner.

+ Participate in coordinated projects to ensure timely completion and that all duties are carried out according to expectations.

+ Manage tracking and resolution process of outstanding returned merchandise.

+ Manage the loaner and demo sample locations, condition, and facilitate delivery and return process

+ Ensure at the end of each day, clean and ready delivery vehicles, tools and equipment for the next days use. This includes but not limited to: unloading/loading vehicles, product, material handling equipment, tools, blankets and properly dispose of garbage.

+ Ensure warehouse is maintained in a cleaned and organized manner including stocking of adequate packaging and cleaning materials.

+ Prepare small and large shipments including pallet for shipping or pickup

+ Driving 26 straight trucks for local deliveries or pick-ups

+ Ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures to ensure customer satisfaction.

+ Project a positive appearance of the company by conducting themselves as a guest in client buildings and acting appropriately, respect other employees and clients, and promote a safe work environment through active participation in company-sponsored programs.

+ Responsible for continuous improvement of organizational and functional processes.

+ Other duties as assigned.

* Work in a safe manner to eliminate injury and damage.

* Must be able to lift occasional 40 pounds and push/pull 100+ pounds with assistance.

* Ability to perform physical movements, including but not limited to twisting, stooping/bending, squatting, kneeling, crawling and climbing stairs.

* Strong computer skills

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:**

* High school diploma or equivalent

* Valid state issued drivers license

* 3-5 years experience in moving, general warehousing and furniture installation

* Current DOT Medical card. Has ability to drive or learn to comfortably and safely drive 26 straight or cube truck, maintains good driving record, and follows all DOT rules and regulations.

* General warehouse experience

**DESIRED REQUIREMENTS:**

* Supervisor/management experience

* Certified forklift operator and trainer

* 2 year vocational training/technical degree
