Architectural Design Drafter II

Description:
Culver Franchising System, LLC is growing and we are adding an Architectural Design Drafter II to our talented Design and Construction team. This person will create and support the development of existing and new restaurant designs in both the public and kitchen spaces which will enhance the guest and team member experience by promoting our Culver's brand and growing our business. They will also be responsible for food service and equipment plans for new construction and remodels of existing Culver's restaurants which supports the Franchisees, the Design & Construction Services team, and Culver Franchising System in all areas of commercial kitchen equipment.

Essential Functions:
Serve as an integral part of the Design & Construction team working with architects, designers, and kitchen design managers to be responsible for:
- Developing, updating and revising Culver's new construction prototypes, conversion and restaurant remodel drawings, including template files, drawing sheets and building details
- Designing dining room and kitchen equipment layouts for new construction, conversion and remodel projects
- Coordinating kitchen equipment plans and specifications for new construction, conversion and remodel projects
Responsible for collaborating on annual restaurant prototype updates
Review construction documents to ensure compliance with Culver's equipment standards
Establish relationships with cross-functional teams and supplier partners to meet business objectives and timelines
Aid in kitchen space design, digital/technology integration, and equipment installation planning
Collaborate with external architects and general contractors on design and equipment specifications and information for new and remodel projects
Maintain new restaurant equipment package and small wares approval listing
Work closely with the Kitchen Equipment Manager in prototype development of new products and enhancement of existing products in conjunction with cross functional support and supplier collaboration
Collaborate and work cross functionally within the organization

Requirements:
Two-year education in Architectural Technology or related field
Minimum 2-5 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience reading and/or drawing construction or design documents
Proficient in AutoCAD; Revit knowledge a plus
Knowledge of or demonstrated interest in commercial kitchen equipment and operations
Strong organizational and communication skills
Strong mechanical aptitude
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
