Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician II is an experienced professional responsible for advanced maintenance and repair tasks in industrial settings. This role requires in-depth knowledge and expertise in electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, with the ability to perform complex troubleshooting and repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advanced Maintenance: Perform in-depth maintenance and repair of industrial building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. Ensure all systems are functioning optimally and efficiently.
  • Specialized Repairs: Use expertise in electrical, plumbing, or HVAC trades to diagnose and repair complex issues. This includes replacing lighting systems, ballast, fixtures, and maintaining commercial plumbing systems.
  • Building Integrity: Oversee the repair, prepping, and painting of drywall, as well as the adjustment and replacement of closures, locks, hinges, and handles on commercial steel door systems.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance to extend the life of equipment and prevent unexpected breakdowns.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations, ensuring that all work is performed in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Material Management: Handle materials safely, including loading and unloading materials up to 40 lbs.
  • Working at Heights: Safely operate lifts and work on ladders at heights of up to 60 feet.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical, plumbing, or HVAC trades, with a preference for candidates holding a journeyman license.
  • Strong technical skills and the ability to perform advanced troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Physical ability to perform heavy manual labor and work at heights.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Relevant certifications in electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems are required.
  • Journeyman license is preferred.
