ENGEL Machinery North America has a job opportunity for a Regional Service Manager in our Customer Service Department ("CSD"). This job is based at the ENGEL Offices located in Corona, CA.

Job Summary

This is a key leadership role for ENGEL Machinery that is responsible for our administrative team and remote, Field Service Technician covering the West Region: WA, OR, CA, ID, NV, UT, MT, WY, CO, AZ, NM and TX.

The daily responsibilities of this position include supporting the technical team in the field, working with customers and their service needs (planning, consulting on needs, etc.), and supporting the growth of the national Customer Service Department. This position would be a great fit for someone who loves ongoing problem-solving, a fast-paced environment and collaboration across the organization (sales, service, technical teams). As a family-owned business, the Customer Service Department works hard together and enjoys a positive work environment with a great sense of humor

The ideal candidate will have experience in leadership, deep knowledge in plastic injection molding, and a proven track record of developing and growing a team both onsite and remotely.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Oversees the day-to-day operations of the assigned region within the Service Department
  • Prioritizes the response of service based on level of emergencies or customers
  • Is involved in high-importance customer service cases and leads the ENGEL efforts for resolution
  • Is involved in the ongoing management of key customer from an after-sales perspective
  • Prepare and holds onsite or remote customer meetings to review service history or specific service cases
  • Presents the ENGEL service organization to potential new customers together with sales
  • Manages service requests directed to them
Supervisory Responsibilities & Leadership
  • Responsible for the direct management of ~16 remote Field Service Technicians - building relationships, supporting customers issues as well as technical issues.
  • Must also be responsible for managing the onsite administrative and technical support team
  • This position is responsible for the direct and complete oversight, planning and management of hiring, firing, creating and carrying out performance reviews, performance improvement, etc.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in engineering, or equivalent work and industry experience
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in the Injection Molding Industry, including the injection molding life cycle of mold setup, maintenance, processing and quality.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Suite
  • SAP experience preferred but not required
