*Medical Assistant Summary:*

We are looking for a Medical Assistant to work alongside physicians and assist with patient care. This includes taking basic vital signs, preparing the room, verifying patient information, assisting with drawing labs, and scheduling the patient’s next appointment. The Medical Assistant will also help manage the patient's schedule and assist with office duties.

*Medical Assistant Duties:*
* Help coordinate and maintains organized patient flow.
* Performs patient intake: vital signs, the reason for visit, interim history allergies, medication lists, and other interventions as required.
* Prepares patients for the exam based on the reason for the visit.
* Draws labs
* Reviews appointment schedules and ensures all patient charts are available for the visit.
* Reviews patient charts and ensures that all ancillary reports and required paperwork are available to the provider at the visit.
* Cleans prepares and stocks exam rooms, treatment rooms, and workstations.
* Assists with scheduling of patient tests, procedures, and follow-up appointments.
* Assists in the care, cleaning, and sterilization of equipment and instruments.
* Maintains the inventory of medical and linen supplies.

*Medical Assistant Skills:*
* _Minimum of one-year clinical experience preferred ; OR Current Clinical Medical Assistant Certification by AAMA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA_
* _High School Diploma/GED required_
* Experience with drawing labs a big plus
* GI experience preferred
* Excellent Computer skills preferred
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Excellent customer service skills
* Excellent organizational skills
* Problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task
* Caring and compassionate
* Team player with good communication skills

*Compensation*: depends on experience, skill set and availability.
