Are you living your life's work?The Department of Physical Plant at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania is seeking a Full-Time Temporary Carpenter to join their team:Summary:Maintenance, installation and repair of carpentry items throughout the Hospital.•When needed, perform repairs and installation of basic Electrical systems; Plumbing systems; HVAC and Lock repairs; Painting, Patching and Wall Coverings.Responsibilities:Maintains, repairs, replaces woodwork throughout the HospitalInstalls partitions, doors, frames, ceilings, etcRepairs, replaces a variety of hardware, i.e. handles, hinges, closures, etcRepairs, replaces sections of vinyl flooring and cove baseWorks with blueprints and schematic designsCredentials:Education or Equivalent Experience:H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)Specialized training in carpentry and 4+ years full-time carpentry experience with a bona fide contractor or employer (Required)Experience in Healthcare facilities (Preferred)We believe that the best care for our patients starts with the best care for our employees.
