As our business looks to deliver its ambitious growth strategy, we are looking for an Operational Accounting Manager to join our team. What You’ll Be Doing Manage the reporting of plant site performance, including developing, maintaining, and continually refining a comprehensive performance scorecard. Maintain and manage total manufacturing and product costing, including bills of material (with Production), unit overhead rates, and overall product standard costs in line with agreed procedures. Maintain and continually challenge existing processes and procedures within the Finance and Operation departments. Analyze data for management to make strategic decisions. Supervise, direct, and develop site accountants at each manufacturing location, ensuring all financial and reporting deadlines are met. Responsible for managing inventory, including conducting physical inventories, adhering to inventory disposal processes, reporting, and managing auditors for year‑end physical counts. Develop real‑time SAP reporting to allow management to make key decisions. Support project engineers with the development of business cases for capital projects and monitor and analyze capital spending on a monthly basis. Ensure projects include corporate sustainability requirements while staying within budget and completed on time; advise on compliance with budgets. Responsible for the annual budget and forecasting for operations, coordinating with operational personnel and the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager. Lead and complete complex projects as needed, reviewing opportunity cost and saving initiatives. Who We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance. MBA, CPA, and CMA preferred. Extensive manufacturing and cost accounting experience, with significant management and supervisory experience. Proficient in MS Office and an ERP software package (SAP). Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work within a team and to also work closely with other department heads within the company. Experience working with internal and external auditors, understanding of accounts in preparation for audits. Excellent interpersonal skills and persuasive manner. Strong knowledge of accounting standards. Paid holidays. Annual base salary range: $125,000.00 to $150,000.00. This range reflects the base salary the company reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, experience, education, and skill level. Additional compensation, such as annual bonuses or other incentives, may be offered based on eligibility and company policies.
