We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Product Owner (PO) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent data analysis capabilities, and a solid understanding of Agile methodologies. You will be responsible for bridging the gap between technical teams and end users, ensuring that business needs are translated into technical requirements and that product development aligns with the company’s goals. The role also involves managing work items in Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar systems, and providing insights through SQL queries and SharePoint management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and manage the product backlog by prioritizing features, epics, and stories in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Ensure that requirements are properly documented, clear, and aligned with the product vision.
- Perform in-depth data analysis to gather insights and support decision-making.
- Use SQL to run queries and analyze large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
- Serve as the primary liaison between end users, business stakeholders, and technical teams to ensure clarity in requirements and delivery timelines.
- Facilitate meetings, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and retrospective discussions, to ensure alignment across teams.
- Utilize Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar work management tools to track and manage product features, stories, and tasks.
- Ensure transparency and timely updates on the progress of development work items.
- Support the technical team by providing detailed business and technical requirements, offering clarifications as needed throughout the development process.
- Assist with M365 SharePoint management, ensuring proper setup, structure, and permissions.
- Define acceptance criteria for features and user stories, and work with QA teams to ensure robust testing.
- Lead UAT efforts, ensuring the final product meets user needs and expectations.
Requirements:
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Technical Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar work management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).
- Solid technical skills in SQL with the ability to run complex queries on large datasets.
- Experience with M365 SharePoint—knowledge of workflows, document libraries, and permissions is essential.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong data analysis skills with a sharp focus on problem-solving and data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to mediate between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with additional reporting tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycles and release management processes.
- Certifications in Agile, Scrum, or Product Ownership (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner).
