** Lead Field Service Engineer Responsibilities*
* Perform installation and commissioning activities at customer site locations during ship construction
* Perform troubleshooting activities at site locations during scheduled Port visits or at sea to diagnose problems, determine appropriate resolution, and implement corrective actions
* Perform a wide range of engineering tasks to ensure technical integrity and proper installation and commissioning of GEPC Power systems and associated control systems.
* Develop presentations and provide training and instruction to customers on system operations.
* Promote sales of services, parts, and CM&Us
* Provide on call support in response to customer calls for service
*Lead Field Service Engineer Position Requirements*
* 3 years of field service and/or commissioning experience
* US Citizen with the ability to achieve security clearance for Department of Defense projects
* Able to travel up to 85% of the time? on short notice
* Must be physically fit to be able to board vessels offshore.
* Must be able to pass a HUET and offshore survival course which includes activities in a swimming pool.
*Lead Field Service Engineer Preferred Requirements*
* Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (or Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline with a at least 3 additional years of related field service experience in a field service/ commissioning environment with Power systems and associated control systems).
* Switchgear- Medium Voltage and Low Voltage
* Circuit Breakers- MCCBs, ACBs, VCBs
* Sensing Instruments- PTs, CTs, Transducers
* Transformers- phase shifting transformers for VFD application
* Motor Control Centers (MCCs)- Basic Starters with Start/ Stop, Multi Speed Starters, Wye-Delta Starters, Hand/ Off/ Auto control, Local/ Remote control
* Soft Starters/ VFDs
