Job Summary and Qualifications

Under general supervision, prepares, seasons, and cooks a wide variety of food items in appropriate quantities while following menus, recipes and production sheets while maintaining a clean and sanitary work area. Communicates with other production staff regarding menus, recipes and portion sizes.

Adhere to HACCP/food safety guidelines/policies & procedures

Utilizes proper equipment to produce standard recipes.

Foster a culture of commitment to the HCA vision, mission, and values of the organization.

Participate in training with other members of the production staff to further develop/advance within the industry.

What qualifications you will need:

High School GraduateEquivalent preferred

1 + years of experience in healthcare preferred

1 + years of experience in quantity cooking preferred

Our 140+ bed hospital is one of the leading acute care facilities in Southwest Virginia and New River Valley. We specialize in heart and vascular carewith the only cardiac catheterization lab in the New River Valley. We perform percutaneous coronary intervention - (stent and angioplasty). We provide services in orthopedic and spine care, and heartburn treatment at LewisGale Hospital Montgomerys Heartburn Treatment Center. Our maternity services through our family-focused Birthing Center facilities have award-winning lactation consultants.
