Sentara Medical Group is seeking a Program Medical Director, to lead the expansion of its Heart Failure Program. This program includes advanced heart failure, mechanical circulatory support, and heart transplantation. Sentara Heart Hospital is the regions first and only dedicated heart hospital. This exceptional facility carries on Sentara Norfolk Generals tradition for cardiac excellence by consistently ranking among the nations top 50 heart programs in the U.S. News & World Reports annual hospital rankings.
Position Highlights:

- AHFT program includes five transplant cardiologists and four heart transplant/VAD surgeons

Minimum Requirements:
- Candidates for this position should be Board Certified in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology with a minimum of three to five years of experience in a center active in advanced heart failure, heart transplantation and mechanical circulatory support.
- M.D., licensed to practice medicine in Virginia
