This role prepares and produces nutritious, well-balanced meals according to current federal/state guidelines, local standards, policies, and procedures to ensure quality food service is provided.OpportunityPrepares and produces nutritious, well-balanced meals according to current federal/state guidelines, local standards, guidelines, and regulations established policies and procedures to ensure quality food service is always provided.Essential FunctionsPrepares foods promptly, by sanitary regulations, planned menus, and established policies and proceduresDevelops and maintains a good working rapport with inter-department personnel to assure that food service meets residents’ needsHandles, stores, and properly rotates foods and suppliesEnsures the food production area and equipment are in good condition, sanitized, and free of safety hazardsSupervises the serving of meals and ensures food is at the proper temperature, styled, palatable, and appetizingHandles leftover foods by storing, wrapping, labeling, and dating or proper follow-up for usage or disposalPrepares food for therapeutic diets by planned menus, standardized recipes, and special diet ordersConsults with Director of Dining Services or Chef regarding food production and carries out other duties assigned by Chef or SupervisorsMaintains a good working relationship with co-workersRegular attendanceTeam members will obtain and demonstrate knowledge of Successful Aging philosophies through Masterpiece Living education and trainingRequirements — Skills, Abilities and Experience5 years minimum experience cooking evening meals1 year experience in kitchen supervisionAbility to read, write and communicate fluentlyBenefitsA work environment focused on teamwork and supportExcellent health, wage replacement and other benefits for you and your family's well-beingA generous contribution to a 401K plan whether or not you participate, and an additional contribution from the company when you participate in the planInvestment in your growth through Tuition ReimbursementAdditional DetailsSalary range: Competitive wages based on experienceFull medical, dental for yourself and your family, plus over three weeks of vacationChristmas bonusFree mealsWork/life balance with a 40-hour work weekEmployment informationSeniority level: Entry levelEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: OtherIndustries: IT Services and IT Consulting #J-18808-Ljbffr
