*As a School-Based Physical Therapist (PT) you will: *
* Provide PT services to students, focusing on developing strength, range of motion, or balance; gait training; improving gross motor control; and/or practice using assistive devices such as a wheelchair, cane, or walker.
* Perform professional assessments of students' physical abilities and progress.
* Provide recommendations of PT interventions that will help remove learning barriers and maximize students' ability to participate fully in a school environment.
*Qualifications for this School PT position include:*
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
* Master's or doctoral degree from an accredited physical therapy program
* Physical therapy licensure in the state of California
* American Physical Therapist Association (APTA) specialist certification in pediatrics through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists (ABPTS)
* Prior PT experience working in a school setting is preferred, _but not required_
