You will be a critical team member and early employee, participating in building a highly scalable, best-in-class finance organization as a key partner with the Accounting Manager.The Accounts Payable Specialist must have superior organization and communication skills, while maintaining strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. He / she will have primary ownership of the Accounts Payable function; including vendor relations, ensuring invoices are entered timely, coded correctly, routed to correct approvers, and paid within provided terms. The Accounts Payable Specialist will also be highly involved in the year-end audit process by providing support as requested. This opportunity offers high visibility in a rapidly growing company and the successful candidate must show great initiative and have the ability to work with limited supervision.The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for executing the Accounts Payable transactional function, specifically for the Company. This position will report directly to the Accounting Manager and interact with the operating businesses relating to the Accounts Payable function.Duties/Responsibilities:Maintain and establish relationships with new and existing vendors, inclusive of submitting credit applications as necessaryResponsible for setting up vendors and vendor maintenanceAdminister purchase order policyMatch purchase orders with packing slips and vendor statements for accuracyEnter all credit card transactionsReconcile credit card statements monthlyTrack credits for warranty returnsAdminister regular check runsProcess incoming invoices and ensure coding is in compliance with accounting guidelines providedCoordinate with operational management to ensure invoices are valid and follow-up as necessaryVerifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactionsRecord manual payments within Intacct (accounting software)Record manual checks in Positive Pay (banking platform)Monthly reconciles the payables subledger and billing softwareWork with the Regional Accounting Manager to close out month endAssists others on the accounting team and give guidance/help where neededAides in the annual 1099 processingProviding necessary documents to prospective vendors and other partners (COI, W-9s, etc.)Prepare and file sales and use tax returnsCommunicates any key issues with managementWorks with the team to automate processes, establish controls and produce financial statements in accordance with accounting policiesSupport team with key strategic and process improvement initiativesHelp with a broad range of ad-hoc projects focused on AP/Vendor Payment qualityContribute to the team culture and effort by accomplishing related results as neededQualifications:4+ years of prior Accounts Payable related experienceAssociates or Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or a related field a plusExperience with payment coding and processingExperience with Excel (lookups, pivot tables)Must be able to work Hybrid (3-4 days in office) – Location is in Anaheim.Personal Characteristics:Excellent communicator – written and oralResourceful – figures out how to achieve results creatively with finite resourcesStellar time management and organizational skillsWorks collaboratively and energeticallyImpeccable integrity and ethical standardsSelf-aware, accepting, honest, open, and respectful of othersAn undying commitment to personal growth and developmentAble to operate effectively even when information may be incomplete or limitedExtreme formatting, organization and priority setting skillsExcellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail and teamworkPositive attitude, team playerHighly motivated, comfortable working independentlyHigh energy, ownership of work product and dedication to driving resultsPhysical Demands:Stand/Sit: Must be able to remain in stationary position 50% of theMay be required to bend, climb (Stairs/Ladders), do repetitive motion, kneel, reach, squat, stand, crawl, walk, and runMay be required to drive and sit for long periods of timeWhat We OfferIndustry Leading Benefits PackageMedical, Dental, VisionEmployee DiscountsCareer growth opportunityPaid Holidays, PTO, Sick Pay available based on position401(k), IRA with company matchPAY TRANSPARENCY:The hourly pay opportunity for this role ranges from$26-$30/hr. The actual pay is dependent upon many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands.
