Junior Estimator

We are hiring a Junior Estimator for a Commercial Construction company in Birmingham, AL. The ideal candidate will have experience developing project estimates of various sizes and complexities.
Benefits and Extras: This position is open due to growth with a top general contractor
Compensation: $75k – $85k+/year (depending on experience)

What you’ll be doing (duties of this position):
Assist in preparing project proposals by developing bid documents, conducting quantity take-offs, and evaluating subcontractor proposals.
Review construction documents to ensure accurate quantity and cost estimates.
Ensure final cost estimates are precise and competitive, assisting in formal bid presentations to clients.
What you’ll need to be considered (requirements):
Bachelor’s Degree in Building Science, Construction Management or comparable experience.
1-2 years of estimating experience
Knowledge of On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam Revu, MS Applications
Commercial Construction experience
What could set you apart (nice to have):
Field experience with a Large Commercial Contractor
