PRN MRI Technologist As a PRN MRI Technologist, you produce cross‑sectional for diagnostic purposes and perform MRI procedures independently or assist a licensed You prepare, administer, and document contrast activities, maintain patient safety, and interact with all healthcare staff. Responsibilities Pre‑screen patients for contraindications and enforce safety zones and access restrictions. Produce high‑quality diagnostic images in accordance with company protocols, accreditation guidelines, and ARRT/ARRMRIT practice standards. Communicate effectively with customers and radiologists, address concerns, solve problems, and maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA. Administer contrast safely, starting and discontinuing peripheral IVs and other vascular access points such as ports, CVLs, and PICC lines. Demonstrate proficiency with Akumin EMR, PACS, and DICOM systems for image sharing and interpretation. Train and orient new technologists, patient coordinators, and MR Technologist Assistants on site or remotely. Perform other duties as assigned by leadership. Position Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associate’s Degree or equivalent preferred. ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification as applicable. State license if applicable. CPR and BLS certification; ACLS where applicable. Valid state driver’s license. Minimum 3 years technologist experience. Ability to work at several locations. Strong customer service, organizational, multitasking, and critical thinking skills. Basic knowledge of computer applications. Local travel may be required. Preferred Experience 1 year of Magnetic Resonance Imaging experience. Registry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT. Physical Requirements May be exposed to a strong magnetic field and blood/body fluids. More than 50% of the time: sit, stand, walk; repetitive hand, arm, leg movements; see, speak, hear to communicate with patients.
