Key Responsibilities Lead all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and compliance. Partner with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to provide strategic financial guidance and insight. Develop and monitor organizational budgets and multi-year financial plans aligned with mission objectives. Oversee accounting, grants management, and restricted fund tracking in accordance with GAAP and nonprofit standards. Manage annual audit and coordinate with external auditors, investment advisors, and financial institutions. Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and board reports. Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Evaluate financial systems and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and transparency. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or MBA strongly preferred. Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a nonprofit organization. Deep understanding of nonprofit GAAP, fund accounting, and grant compliance. Proven experience managing budgets, complex funding streams, and board reporting. Exceptional communication and leadership skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights. Timing is everything.
