Must be willing to live/work in the location above. This is not a remote/telework opportunity. Altimeter Solutions, LLC (Altimeter), is a technical consulting firm that specializes in providing its clients with the highest quality analytical/technical consultative services possible. Altimeter’s mission is to provide clients with proven professional solutions/services that represent the uppermost levels of industry technical competencies and value. Altimeter Solutions holds a Top Secret facility clearance and places contract and permanent technical resources with prime vendors for the DoD and other Federal government branches nationwide. Responsibilities Responsible for performing a wide variety of mechanical assembly operations which may include skilled hand work or utilizing automated production equipment, including the use of epoxies. Comprehends and interprets a variety of technical specifications, terms, and documents. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, bonding application, and torque assembly tools while working on small parts. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications. Minimum Requirements Must Haves: High School Diploma/GED Ability to lift 5-10 lbs., routinely Ability to read and follow work instructions on a screen/monitor. Basic work experience in assembly with smaller parts. Be able to login and type in notations of any product issue in the computer system. Nice to Haves: Experience in building models, Legos, making jewelry, or other crafting type experiences. NOTE: Because this is a SkillBridge Internship, it is understood that no single candidate will have equal expertise in all the areas of responsibility listed. Successful candidates will possess a compelling combination of many of them and the self-awareness and wisdom to leverage existing and/or new resources in the area(s) where they lack personal mastery. Vets2PM Provides: Mentorship and guidance via weekly SkillBridge Intern Zoom Meetings. PM Fundamentals course, resume writing, LinkedIn optimization, and interview skills course. Other free resources, including an electronic copy of 'How to Speak Civilian Fluently'. Other: Not all internships include certification training by Vets2PM, as many host companies include their own internship-focused training instead.
