Intertek Oil and Gas upstream services offer independent, mission-critical expertise to the exploration and production (E&P) industry. Intertek provides technical support for a wide range of E&P activities, including laboratory and field services, for petroleum and natural gas reservoir and production optimization.

E&P scientists, engineers and technicians are strategically located to support clients, and have years of upstream industry experience.

Intertek Westport Technology Center in Houston is the flagship of Intertek Upstream Services and one of the largest integrated laboratories in the world focused on Exploration and Production solutions.

Here's What You'll Do On The Job

By delegation from the Business Development Manager, and in a timely, safe, legal, and ethical manner, assist the Business Development Group with obtaining project approvals from clients:
  • Implement, maintain, and enforce in the Laboratory the Company's operating plans for:
    • Quality Management
    • Safety and Health
    • Environmental Compliance
    • Legal and Ethical Compliance
    • Training
  • To ensure that, in carrying out the above responsibilities, project deliverables are of the highest quality and completed in a timely manner to the Manager's expectations
  • Obtain client approval and billing information from the direction of the Program Managers and Business Development Managers.
  • Request from clients and process new client information including credit applications, customer submission forms, and addition to Phoenix.
  • Project initiation/Custody transfer from Business Development Group to the Program Manager.
  • Assist with proposals, bids, and tenders.
  • Utilize iConnect for documentation of win/losses.
  • Organize tradeshows as requested.
  • Assist the Program Managers and Business Development Managers as needed.
  • Carry out the above responsibilities, and all others which may be assigned, in a manner demonstrating support for and adherence to the Company's Safety Policy and Procedures, Quality Policy and Procedures, Ethics Policy, Environmental Management System, Vision and strategy, and to exercise good judgment, commons sense, and diplomacy in so doing
  • The Sales Coordinator will report to the Business Development Manager
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

What It Takes To Be Successful In This Role:
  • The Sales Coordinator should have a bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Science, Petroleum Engineering Business, or +3 years of relevant work experience in Oil and Gas
  • Expected to be able to use Excel and Word to record, process quotes, and reports as needed
  • The Sales Coordinator should have a positive attitude, a high tolerance for job pressure and be able to multitask on several projects simultaneously
  • The ability to work and communicate with persons of diverse personalities and backgrounds
