What’s a typical day as a Maintenance Technician? You’ll be:
• Ensuring the plant facility systems are maintained operational.
• Identifying and following through on repairs, assigning repairs to Facilities Technician or working with vendors as necessary.
• Troubleshooting and repairing a variety of machinery and equipment, including Allen Bradley PLC’s, Frequency Drives, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Servo Motors, Refrigeration systems (NH3), Boiler systems, and HVAC systems.
• Assisting in working on preventative maintenance on machinery.
• Maintaining records and inventories as required and keeping an orderly and clean work area.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have a 2-year technical degree in a related field or equivalent on-the-job experience.
• Possess a high level of machine troubleshooting ability in a manufacturing environment.
• Have experience in food manufacturing and knowledge of SIX SIGMA techniques such as 5-S (preferred).
• Have strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Can read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and manuals.
• Are able to work independently with little or no supervision.
• Are skilled in the use of instruments, tools, and equipment of the specific trade.
• Are a motivated team player.
