OverviewRed Coats Inc. is a privately held company founded over 60 years ago based in Bethesda, Maryland. We specialize in providing commercial office cleaning services to a myriad of customers. We have established ourselves as a results-oriented, customer-focused company, and now have multiple offices in Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, California, and Texas. As we continue to grow, we are seeking to hire a dynamic and motivated payroll specialist who will be responsible for performing highly detailed work in verifying, classifying, posting, and recording all payroll transactions, and ensuring accurate payment of employees' paychecks. This position processes bi-weekly payroll.BenefitsEXCELLENT BENEFITS, including comprehensive medical, dental, and life insurance, 401(k), free parking, generous paid leave, and tuition assistance for career advancement.ResponsibilitiesProcess bi-weekly payroll for 1,500 employeesFull understanding of federal and state tax calculationsPrepare and submit manual payroll checks and direct depositsVoiding and reversing issued checksCollect banking information for direct deposit setupMaintain and document all payroll recordsProcess withholding orders, garnishments, and tax levies in accordance with federal and state laws for employeesRespond to employee inquiries regarding payroll deductions, issues, or concernsQualifications2+ years of experience in payroll processingAdvance user of Microsoft Office, particularly in ExcelMust possess excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust, rapport, and credibilityCapable of exercising extreme discretionWorking knowledge of payroll laws and regulations is a plusMust be able to meet schedules and deadlinesMust be detail-oriented and customer-focusedGood decision-making skills; requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate verbally and in writingMust be organized, goal-oriented and have a good work ethicReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at Red Coats, Inc. by 2xGet notified about new Payroll Specialist jobs in Bethesda, MD. #J-18808-Ljbffr
