This strategic leader will partner closely with the firm’s owner to execute vision, drive profitability, and maintain operational excellence across departments. The ideal candidate brings proven experience leading operations in a professional services environment, with deep expertise in HR, finance, and strategic planning. You’ll manage a team of 35+ professionals, oversee a $15M+ annual budget, and ensure smooth coordination between legal and administrative functions. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, scaling organization and is passionate about fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include guiding firm-wide strategy, optimizing systems and infrastructure, managing financial performance, and leading all aspects of hiring, training, and team development. The COO will also spearhead change management initiatives, mentor department leaders, and ensure compliance with HR laws and best practices—all while supporting a fully remote team environment with strong digital systems. Qualifications: • Proven leadership as a COO, VP of Operations, or PLA in a professional services setting • Expertise in HR, finance, and business operations with full P&L oversight • Experience managing large teams and implementing data‑driven performance strategies • Track record of executing business plans and improving profitability • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred (SHRM or HRCI certifications a plus) • Prior experience in a law firm environment is preferred • Compensation Competitive base salary plus annual profitability bonus Madison Professional Group is an equal opportunity employer.
