This role reports to the Head of Finance Operations and owns the complete revenue cycle - from initial billing through GL reporting. You will manage traditional accounts receivable functions while ensuring accurate revenue recognition and reporting under ASC 606. As a key member of our finance team at a dynamic crypto company, you will serve as a strategic partner to Sales, RevOps, and Leadership while maintaining the integrity of our revenue processes.Key ResponsibilitiesRevenue Cycle ManagementOwn end-to-end revenue process from billing through GL reportingEnsure accurate and timely customer invoicingManage collections activities and customer payment follow-upsPerform cash applications and maintain AR aging analysisAssist our customers with billing and payment inquiriesRevenue Accounting & ReportingExecute monthly revenue and AR close proceduresPerform revenue reconciliations between billing systems and the GLEnsure compliance with ASC 606 revenue recognition standardsMaintain supporting documentation for revenue transactionsPrepare journal entries and GL account reconciliationsDeliver regular revenue, collections, and aging reporting and analyses to LeadershipCross-Functional PartnershipPartner with Sales and RevOps teams on deal structuring and pricing inquiriesPartner with Strategic Finance and Business Operations on product-level ARR, collections, pricing and other strategic reportingCollaborate on monetization strategies for new product launchesSupport ad-hoc business analytics and reporting needsSystems & Process OptimizationCollaborate with Product and Engineering teams on billing systems and process improvementsIdentify and drive process improvements across revenue operationsMaintain and optimize workflows in Netsuite, Orb, and SalesforceEnsure data integrity across all revenue systemsRequired Qualifications3-5+ years of experience in billing, collections, and revenue operations OR 1-3 years of experience in the Big4 in Assurance or Accounting AdvisoryUnderstanding of revenue recognition principles and ASC 606Experience with month-end close processes and GL reconciliationsBasic understanding of cryptocurrency payment flows (stablecoins, crypto payments, and wallet transactions)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills with ability to work across all organizational levelsDetail-oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work in our San Francisco or NYC office 3 days per weekPreferred QualificationsAccounting degree or relevant courseworkFamiliarity with Netsuite, Salesforce and billing platforms (Orb preferred)Experience with usage-based billing and revenue accountingDeeper experience in the cryptocurrency or fintech industryBasic SQL knowledge for data analysis and reportingFamiliarity with data visualization tools (Preset, Tableau, or similar)Strong AI / LLM skills for process improvement and general output increaseStartup experience and comfort with ambiguityExperience with complex billing models (usage-based, SaaS, tiered, hybrid)Benefits and PerksAlchemy is committed to offering competitive compensation, including base salary as well as equity. Additionally, Alchemy offers comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as other benefits such as 401k and unlimited flexible time off.The base salary range for this position is estimated to be between $110,000 USD - $120,000 USD annually. Please note this range reflects base salary only, and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
