GENERAL SUMMARY

Referral Coordinator

Serves as the primary contact/ resource person for patients, primary care physicians and other health care service providers. Schedule appointments for new and existing patients.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION/COMPETENCIES

• New Patients and existing referrals

• Verifying the type of insurance and proper authorization as needed.

• Contacting the referring physician to obtain referral form.

• Obtain any added documents as needed.

• Records referrals in computer.

• Update co-payments in the computer.

• Mail new patient packets

• Assists with all front office related duties as needed.
