Job Purpose:
The general focus of this position is to generate service orders, and creating a pipeline of service business with current and prospective customers. This position is crucial in generating a pipeline of in-shop and mobile service work for the Branch. This position will source new service opportunities and close sales to achieve quotas. The position will play a key role in increasing income and revenue by managing and negotiating with clients, generating leads, identifying and qualifying prospects and managing sales of products and services. As an outside service estimator, the person will also research sales competition and will provide complete and appropriate solutions for every customer in order to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels and profitability.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary job duties and responsibilities are included but not limited to:

• In-the-field estimating and writing service for outside customers for dry van, reefer van trailers, flatbed, mobile service and various types of lift gates.
• Build a pipeline of service business of at least $80,000 per month.
• Oversee and manage the total service sales process from estimate to invoice.
• Generate job estimates and present to the customer.
• Generate new service business.
• Identify and order appropriate parts for each job.
• Resolving service problems and improving service methods to increase the service productivity and customer service.
• Monitoring outside service issues and client complaints to create methods to lessen recurring issues.
• Carry out duties with a customer first approach.
• Maintaining a strong working knowledge of the latest trailer improvements and industry standards surrounding transportation and trailer technology.

Knowledge and Skills for this Position:
• Ability to manage large database customers.
• Knowledge of MS Office environment.
• Excellent communication, sales, and customer service skills.
• Sales skills and customer follow up.
• Time management skills required to balance and prioritize work given the time constraints that exist.

Qualifications:
The qualifications will included but not limited to:
• Working knowledge of dry van, reefer van, flatbed trailers and associated components required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Previous sales experience preferred.
• 6+ months of relevant experience preferred.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening is required.
• Random drug testing required after employment.

Working Conditions:
• Both office and outside in various weather conditions, but service shop conditions may be expected. Some evening & weekend duty as required for customer relationships.

Physical Requirements:
• General health conditions that enable employee to work a consistent schedule during the day.
