Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to join our team in Columbia, MO. The Assistant Director of Nursing will work closely with the Chair and Director of Nursing to oversee the nursing staff and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. Key ResponsibilitiesAssistant administrative responsibility to supervise the Associate of Science in Nursing programs located in Columbia and Lake Ozark, MO and the Bachelor of Science in Nursing programs.Assist in the development and implementation of nursing policies and proceduresAssist in supervising and evaluating nursing faculty and staff performanceEnsure compliance with all regulatory requirementsAssist in coordination of curriculum and evaluation, mentoring, accreditation, clinical, and remediation processesParticipate in the recruitment and training of faculty and nursing staffCollaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient careAssist in budget planning and managementSome requirement to teach in the BSN and ASN programsAssist in maintaining standards of nursing education set by state and national accrediting agencies.Establish and maintain positive relationships with personnel of cooperative agencies and clinical sitesInvolve alumni and employers of graduates in periodic evaluation of the nursing programs.Counsel and guide students in their educational, professional, and vocational goals. Skills and QualificationsProven experience as an Assistant Director of Nursing or similar administrative role in academia or healthcareCurrent RN license in the state of MissouriStrong leadership and communication skillsKnowledge of nursing best practices and regulationsAbility to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environmentBachelors, Masters and Doctorate degree in Nursing required This job description is not meant to be all-inclusive of every duty and responsibility required by the employee in the position.
