Business Process Consultant – Senior Analyst General Characteristics Facilitates the optimization of business unit performance by enhancing the alignment between business processes and information technology. Acts as a primary point of contact for day‑to‑day technology needs, focusing on the analysis of processes—dissecting problems and suggesting solutions. Involves complex systems process analysis, design, and simulation. Must understand technical problems and solutions in relation to both current and future business environments, and be able to suggest plans to integrate new and existing processes. Provides input and supports planning and prioritization for business process engineering activities, including the development of the business unit process engineering plan and its integration with the corporate plan. Possesses knowledge and experience leveraging both IT solutions and business process improvements. Responsibilities • Leads continuous review and update of processes to ensure they meet changing business unit conditions.• Identifies processes for improvement, documents existing processes, and analyzes gaps between current and desired states.• Designs new processes, develops process performance measures, and plans the transition to new processes.• Provides counsel and leadership on future use of technology and business process improvements.• Demonstrates expertise in strategic planning, tactical execution, project management, process management, and business systems requirements definition. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent work experience. Experience: Minimum of 7 years of IT experience, 4 years in process engineering, and 2 years in project management. Complexity: Expert/lead technical role working on large, enterprise‑wide projects that require subject‑matter expertise across multiple process improvement areas and mastery of process improvement tools. Works as a project team member on multiple projects and often serves as a project leader, coaching and mentoring junior staff.
