Senior Principal Engineer – Hazen & Sawyer Join Hazen & Sawyer as a Senior Principal Engineer. You will lead design, development, and implementation of water and wastewater solutions, working with municipal and industrial clients to deliver high‑quality, compliant services. Your remit includes detailed design, utility management, operations, maintenance, and program management across municipal, industrial, reclaimed water, and stormwater projects. Responsibilities: Lead detailed engineering design for water and wastewater projects. Manage utility operations and maintenance, ensuring performance and regulatory compliance. Provide technical guidance to project teams and clients. Coordinate with regulatory agencies, clients, and internal staff. Assist in program management and strategic planning for water solutions. Qualifications: Professional Licensed Engineer (P.E.) or equivalent credential. 5–15 years of experience in the water industry, with background in municipal or industrial water/wastewater, reclaimed water, stormwater, detailed design, utility management, operations & maintenance, and/or program management. B.S. in Environmental, Civil, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or comparable hands‑on experience. Strong written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with clients, staff, and regulatory agencies. Positive attitude and teamwork orientation. Location: Various locations in Maryland (Baltimore, Annapolis, Bowie, Linthicum Heights, etc.) – salary range for Maryland applications: $80,000–$176,000.
